"Father" John is mostly playing around the 'burbs these days. He used to play the Barclay hotel a lot back when they had jazz. With some luck you can still catch him around town if you watch the papers. Check out the 23rd St. Cafe .. he seems to be there quite a bit recently. The William Penn Inn is a good bet as well.
The "Father" nickname comes from his previous gig as a parish priest. Actually, his demeanor is kind of "priestly", in the good sense. He's a fine and friendly soul, and has a personal "touch" at the piano. You'll know him when you hear him.
