Suzanne Cloud

If you like a little politics with your Jazz, check out Suzanne.  Her new album "With a Little Help from my Friends" consists of mostly originals (or original lyrics put to old tunes).

Suzanne has been on the Philly Jazz scene a long time, but has recently been concentrating more on recording than performing in public.  She always chooses fine backup musicians, such as Jim Miller on drums, Eddie Green or Eric Shaw on piano and Craig Thomas or Darryl Hall on bass.  On her latest recording, she teams up with a number of Philly superstars, including the members of Reverie, Jim Miller, Gerald Veasley on bass , Mark Knox on keys and E.J. Yellen on sax.

She's really a wonderful singer, and if you're tired of hearing the same old  "When Sunny gets Blue","God Bless the Child" and "Misty", maybe it's time to check out some of Suzanne's irreverent stuff.

Check out Suzanne's Home Page on Dreambox !
