Bill Meek

(pianist, arranger, composer)



Bill is an accomplished pianist, composer and arranger. After attending Wilmington College in Ohio as a composition and theory major, he continued his education years later and attended Temple University as a major in the
then recently created Jazz Studies Program. He also took a course in classical orchestration at the Philadelphia Musical Academy.

He found time to teach jazz piano at Settlement Music School, Philadelphia, Pa. for 17 years, 3 years at the Combs College Of Music in Bryn Mawr, Pa. and privately for a  number of years. Bill played for 7 years at the Sheraton Hotel Society Hill, for 1 1/2 years at the Omni Hotel , at the Warwick Hotel for 3 1/2 years , the Ritz Carlton for 6 years, The Four Seasons for 5 years and at the Boker Dining Room in the prestigious Union League of Philadelphia.

He's played too many private parties, weddings and corporate functions to mention (or remember..). Bill has played and recorded with world renowned drummer, Philly Jo Jones, toured with Grover Washington Jr. and performed with Max Roach, Donald Byrd, Stanley Clarke, Cecil Bridgewater, John Blake, Gerald Veasley, Odean Pope, Tyrone Brown among others.
